Twitter's Lost Opportunity

In this episode, we take a closer look at crowdfunding platforms. Max argues crowdfunding in 2016 equals SEO in 2008 and mobile web in 2010: saturation point reached, and many struggling businesses are led to believe this panacea will solve all problems. Yalim and Max then turn to data plans in the US following the public beta launch of ProjectFi: they believe one of the reasons Europe is falling behind the US when it comes to tech is the scarce availability of internet. While US has T-Mobile Simple plan and ProjectFi, Europe still has roaming charges. Finally: Twitter. Yalim is saddened by the display advertising monetization the service has choses, and names 5 great strategies Twitter could have pursued, but didn't.
